Fair usage policy.

01. What This Policy Covers

WittyForm Pro and Enterprise plans include "unlimited" access to several features, such as forms, quizzes, and workflows. This Fair Usage Policy defines what reasonable use looks like and ensures that all customers receive a consistently high quality experience.

This policy applies to all paid plans. Free plan users are subject to the specific limits outlined on our Pricing page.

02. Forms & Quizzes

Pro and Enterprise plans allow you to create an unlimited number of forms and quizzes for legitimate business purposes. Free plans are limited to 5 forms and 3 quizzes. Fair usage means:

• Normal business operations. Creating forms for surveys, registrations, lead capture, feedback, quizzes, assessments, order forms, and similar use cases.
• No mass automation. We do not impose a hard cap, but automated mass creation of thousands of forms (for example, via scripts or bots) is not considered fair use.
• One account per entity. Each paid plan is for a single individual or organization. Sharing credentials across unrelated parties or reselling access is not permitted.

03. Responses & Submissions

Free plans include 100 responses per month with 30 day retention. Pro plans include unlimited responses with 365 day retention. Enterprise plans have unlimited responses with unlimited retention. In all cases:

• Genuine submissions only. Responses should come from real users filling out your forms. Automated submission of responses (for example, bot traffic or load testing against production) is not fair use.
• No data pipeline misuse. Using WittyForm as a general purpose data ingestion system (processing millions of automated records) falls outside the intended scope of the platform.

04. File Uploads & Storage

Each plan includes specific file upload and storage limits. To ensure consistent storage performance across all accounts:

Storage limits apply to form-related file uploads (attachments, images, documents). Using WittyForm as a general file hosting or backup service is not permitted.

05. AI Features

AI powered form generation and field suggestions use third party AI services that incur a cost per request. To keep these features available for everyone:

• Free Plan. 3 AI generations per day.
• Pro Plan. 30 AI generations per day.
• Enterprise Plan. Unlimited AI generations, subject to a reasonable rate limit to prevent automated abuse.
• No automated scripting. AI features are designed for interactive use within the WittyForm interface. Programmatic or bulk calls to AI endpoints are not permitted.

06. API & Webhooks

Our API and webhook system are designed for integrating WittyForm into your workflows. Fair use guidelines:

• Rate limiting. API requests are rate limited to protect platform stability. Current limits are documented in our API documentation and may be adjusted as needed.
• Webhook limits. Pro plans support up to 30 active webhooks. Enterprise plans have unlimited webhooks, but they should serve legitimate integration purposes.
• No excessive polling. Use webhooks for real time updates instead of polling our API at high frequency. Aggressive polling may be throttled.

07. Team & Collaboration

Each plan includes team collaboration features. Each team member should be a real person within your organization:

Team members inherit the workspace owner's subscription tier. Sharing login credentials or creating bot accounts is not permitted.

08. Prohibited Uses

The following activities are explicitly prohibited regardless of plan tier, as further outlined in our Terms of Service:

• Spam or phishing. Using WittyForm to create forms that collect information under false pretenses, distribute malware, or conduct phishing attacks.
• Reselling or sublicensing. Reselling WittyForm access, creating a competing form service on top of our platform, or sublicensing your account to third parties.
• Service disruption. Any activity designed to overload, stress test, or degrade the WittyForm platform, including intentional DDoS or resource exhaustion.
• Illegal content. Collecting data that violates applicable laws, hosting illegal content, or facilitating illegal activities through forms.

09. What Happens If You Exceed Fair Use

We believe in working with our users, not against them. If your usage significantly exceeds normal patterns:

• Step 1: We reach out. We will contact you to discuss your usage and understand your needs. No sudden suspensions or account restrictions without notice.
• Step 2: We find a solution. We will work together to find a plan or arrangement that fits your requirements, whether that's an Enterprise upgrade, a custom plan, or adjusting how you use the platform.
• Step 3: Enforcement (if necessary). Only after good faith communication, and only for clear violations or prohibited uses, we may apply temporary rate limits or, in extreme cases, suspend access to specific features.

We will never delete your data or terminate your account without prior notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the situation. Read our Privacy Policy to learn more about data handling.

10. Infrastructure & Performance

We invest heavily in infrastructure to support our users. This policy exists because shared resources require shared responsibility:

• 99.9% uptime goal. We strive to keep WittyForm available at all times. Fair usage helps us maintain this standard for every customer.
• Scaling with you. If your business grows and you need higher limits, we want to hear from you. We regularly increase default limits as our infrastructure scales.
• Transparent changes. If we update this policy, we will notify you at least 14 days in advance via email or in app notification.
