Zapier Connection
Connect WittyForm to over 5,000 apps through Zapier. No code required: just pick a trigger, map your fields, and let Zapier handle the rest.

- Log in to your Zapier account (or create a free one).

When prompted, click Sign in to WittyForm. A popup will ask for your API key:

- Locate your API credentials and generate a key if you have not already.
- Copy the key and paste it into the Zapier popup.
- Click Yes, Continue. Zapier will verify the connection.
Trigger: New form submission
WittyForm provides one trigger event: New Submission. When a visitor submits your form, Zapier receives the data and runs your Zap.
- Select the New Submission trigger event.
- Pick the form you want to monitor from the dropdown.
- Click Test trigger: Zapier will pull in your most recent submission as sample data.
Mapping fields
In the action step of your Zap, you will see all your form fields available as dynamic values. For example:
Full Name→ maps to your CRM's "Contact Name" fieldEmail→ maps to "Email Address"Message→ maps to "Notes" or "Description"
Click into any action field and use the dropdown to insert WittyForm values. You can combine multiple fields in a single action field (e.g., Full Name - Email).
Popular Zaps
Here are the most common workflows WittyForm users build with Zapier:
Google Sheets
Automatically add each submission as a new row. Use the Google Sheets → Create Spreadsheet Row action and map your form fields to columns.
Slack
Post a summary to a Slack channel for every submission. Use the Slack → Send Channel Message action. Format the message with field placeholders.
Mailchimp
Add new leads to a Mailchimp audience. Use the Mailchimp → Add/Update Subscriber action. Map the email field and any merge tags.
HubSpot
Create or update a HubSpot contact on every submission. Use the HubSpot → Create Contact action and map name, email, company, and custom properties.
Trello
Create a Trello card for each submission. Great for support or request forms. Use the Trello → Create Card action and put the form data in the card description.
Testing your Zap
- After mapping fields, click Test step in each action to verify data flows correctly.
- Check the destination app to confirm the record was created.
- If something looks wrong, go back to the field mapping and adjust.
- When satisfied, click Publish Zap to make it live.
Multi-step Zaps
You can chain multiple actions in a single Zap. For example:
- Trigger: New WittyForm submission
- Action 1: Add row to Google Sheets
- Action 2: Send Slack notification
- Action 3: Create HubSpot contact
Multi-step Zaps require a Zapier Starter plan or higher. Each step runs in sequence, so later steps can reference data from earlier ones.
