PayPal payments for WittyForm
Connect PayPal directly to a WittyForm workspace and let respondents approve hosted PayPal checkout from your forms. Credentials stay outside the application server’s decryption boundary, and Sandbox testing is supported before Live payments.
How It Works
Connect PayPal
Connect a PayPal app from your WittyForm workspace Integrations page. Sandbox and Live modes are supported.
Choose PayPal for the payment field
Add a Payment field, select PayPal as the provider, and set the amount and currency.
Collect payments
Respondents approve the order on PayPal. WittyForm captures it server-side and records the payment against the response.
Key Features
Secure checkout
PayPal credentials are verified and encrypted by WittyForm’s external crypto worker. Plaintext secrets never enter the application database.
Sandbox and Live modes
Test the complete checkout with PayPal Sandbox before switching a connected account to Live mode.
Multiple currencies
Charge respondents in the currency configured on your WittyForm payment field.
Pay with PayPal
Buyers approve the payment in PayPal’s hosted checkout without entering PayPal credentials into WittyForm.
Dynamic amounts
Use fixed, custom, or verified distance-based amounts with server-side amount checks.
Use Cases
Product orders
Sell products with an order form that takes payment at the end through PayPal.
Event tickets
Collect registration details and PayPal approval in a single form for events and workshops.
Fundraising
Accept donations with fixed or custom amounts through PayPal checkout.
Invoice payments
Send clients a form link to collect an invoice payment through PayPal.
