Reading Your Form Analytics
Every form in WittyForm has its own analytics view that turns raw submissions into clear visuals. You do not need to build anything from scratch. Open a form and its analytics page lays out the metrics, charts, and field breakdowns automatically.
Opening the Analytics View
Open the form you want to analyze, then switch to its analytics view. A link back to the editor sits at the top so you can move between editing and reviewing data without losing your place. Each form keeps its own analytics, so the numbers always reflect the form you are looking at.
The Metric Strip
At the top of the page, a row of cards shows the headline numbers for the form:
- Views: How many times the form was opened.
- Submissions: How many completed responses you received.
- Completion: The share of views that ended in a submission.
- Avg Time: How long respondents typically take from start to submit.
Response Timeline
Below the metric strip, a bar chart plots your daily response volume so you can see when submissions arrived. Spikes often line up with a campaign, a social post, or an email send, which makes it easy to connect activity to results.
Field Completion
Scroll down to the Field Completion chart. Each field in your form gets a bar showing how many respondents answered it. When one bar is much shorter than the one before it, that is usually where people are dropping off. This is the quickest way to find a question that is costing you submissions.
Funnel View
The funnel section shows how respondents move from opening the form to submitting it, so you can see overall drop off at a glance. Pair it with the Field Completion chart to understand both the big picture and the specific field where attention is slipping.
Sharing What You Learn
To share your data with teammates or stakeholders, export your responses from the form Responses view and bring the file into the spreadsheet or reporting tool you already use. See the Exporting Data article for the full walkthrough.
Tips for Reading the Numbers
- Check your analytics soon after launching a form or running a campaign.
- If completion is low, start with the Field Completion chart to spot the weak field.
- Watch the timeline to see which promotions actually drove submissions.
- Export periodically if you want to track changes over a longer stretch of time.
