Account Setup and Settings
Your WittyForm account is your gateway to building forms, collecting responses, and managing your data. This guide covers everything you need to know about setting up and configuring your account.
Creating Your Account
To get started with WittyForm, visit wittyform.com and click Sign Up. You can create an account using:
- Email and password: Enter your email address and choose a strong password.
- Google sign-in: Click "Continue with Google" to use your Google account for quick, passwordless access.
After signing up, you will receive a verification email. Click the link in the email to confirm your address and activate your account.
Profile Settings
Access your profile settings by clicking your avatar in the top-right corner and selecting Settings. Here you can update:
- Display name: The name shown to collaborators and in notifications.
- Profile photo: Upload an image to personalize your account.
- Email address: Change your primary email. A verification email will be sent to the new address.
Notification Preferences
Control how and when WittyForm notifies you about activity. Navigate to Settings > Notifications to configure:
- New response alerts: Get an email each time someone submits a form. You can enable or disable this per form.
- Weekly summary: Receive a digest of your form activity at the start of each week.
- Product updates: Stay informed about new features and improvements.
Timezone and Language
WittyForm uses your timezone to display accurate timestamps on responses and analytics. Under Settings > Preferences, you can:
- Set your timezone: Choose from a global list of timezones. This affects all date and time displays across your account.
- Language preference: Select the interface language. WittyForm currently supports English, with more languages coming soon.
Changing Your Password
To update your password:
- Go to Settings > Security.
- Click Change Password.
- Enter your current password for verification.
- Enter and confirm your new password.
- Click Save.
Choose a password that is at least 8 characters long and includes a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols for maximum security.
Deleting Your Account
If you need to delete your account, go to Settings > Account and click Delete Account. This action is permanent and will delete all your forms, responses, and data. You will be asked to confirm before the deletion proceeds.
