Email and Attribution Branding

When WittyForm sends emails on your behalf: whether notification emails to your team or confirmation emails to respondents: you can fully brand the sender identity so recipients see your company name and domain, not WittyForm.

Custom Email Sender Domain

By default, emails from WittyForm are sent from a wittyform.com address. To send from your own domain (e.g., [email protected]), you need to verify your domain with the proper email authentication records. Go to Settings > Email > Sender Domain and add your domain. WittyForm will provide you with the DNS records you need to add:

• SPF (Sender Policy Framework): A TXT record that authorizes WittyForm's servers to send email on behalf of your domain. This prevents your emails from being marked as spam.
• DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail): A TXT record containing a public key that email providers use to verify the message was not tampered with in transit.
• DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication): A TXT record that tells receiving mail servers how to handle emails that fail SPF or DKIM checks. We recommend starting with a "none" policy and moving to "quarantine" or "reject" once you confirm everything works.

After adding all three records, click Verify in WittyForm. Verification usually completes within a few minutes.

Custom From Name

Set a custom "From" name that appears in the recipient's inbox. For example, instead of "WittyForm Notifications," your emails can show "Acme Support" or "Sarah from Acme." Configure this in Settings > Email > From Name.

Custom Footer Text

Email footers can include your company name, address, and any legal text you need to display. Edit the footer in Settings > Email > Footer. This text appears at the bottom of every email WittyForm sends on your behalf.

Removing "Powered by WittyForm" Attribution

By default, forms and emails include a small "Powered by WittyForm" badge. On Pro plans and above, you can remove this badge entirely for a fully white-labeled experience. Go to Settings > Branding > Attribution and toggle off the "Show WittyForm branding" option. This removes the badge from:

• Form pages (the footer badge)
• Thank-you screens
• Notification and confirmation emails
• PDF exports of responses

Branded Email Templates

When using a custom sender domain, you can create fully branded email templates that include your logo, colors, and custom HTML layout. Templates are managed in Settings > Email > Templates. Your brand colors and logo are automatically applied to the default templates, but you can also edit the HTML directly for complete control.
