Analytics Dashboard Overview

5 min read

The WittyForm analytics dashboard gives you a clear view of how your forms are performing. From response counts to a field by field breakdown, everything you need to understand your audience is available in one place.

Accessing the Dashboard

To open the analytics dashboard, open the form you want to review and switch to its analytics view. A link back to the editor sits at the top so you can move between editing and reviewing data. Each form has its own dashboard with metrics specific to that form.

Key Metrics

The dashboard displays four primary metrics at the top of the page, each shown as a card:

  • Views: How many times the form was opened. This is your reach indicator.
  • Submissions: The total number of completed responses received. This is your primary volume indicator.
  • Completion: The percentage of people who opened your form and actually submitted it. A higher rate means your form is engaging and the right length.
  • Avg Time: How long respondents typically spend filling out your form from first interaction to submission. Use this to gauge whether your form is too long or too complex.

Time Period

The dashboard shows your most recent activity, covering the last 30 days. This keeps the view focused on what is happening now without extra setup. For a longer history, export your responses and review them in a spreadsheet or reporting tool of your choice.

Response Timeline Chart

Below the key metrics, a bar chart shows your daily response volume. Each bar represents a day, so you can quickly see when submissions arrived. Spikes in the chart often correlate with marketing campaigns, social media posts, or email sends.

Field Completion

Scroll down to the Field Completion chart. Each field in your form gets a bar showing how many respondents answered it. When one bar is much shorter than the field before it, that is usually where people are leaving your form. This is the quickest way to find a question that is costing you submissions.

Funnel View

The funnel section shows how respondents move from opening your form to submitting it, with the overall drop off shown at a glance. It complements the Field Completion chart by giving you the big picture alongside the field by field detail.

Tips for Using the Dashboard

  • Check your dashboard regularly, especially after launching a new form or campaign.
  • If your completion rate is low, look at the Field Completion chart to find weak fields.
  • Watch the timeline to see which promotions actually drove submissions.
  • Export your data periodically for archival or deeper analysis in external tools.
