Understanding the Dashboard

4 min read

The WittyForm dashboard is where you manage everything: your forms, responses, analytics, and account. This guide explains each section so you can navigate with confidence.

Dashboard Overview

When you sign in, you land on the main dashboard view. It is designed to give you a quick snapshot of your form activity and fast access to common actions. The dashboard is divided into several key areas.

Navigation Sidebar

The left sidebar is your primary navigation. It provides quick access to:

  • Dashboard: The main overview page you see when you log in.
  • Forms: A complete list of all your forms with search and filter options.
  • Responses: View and manage all submissions across your forms.
  • Analytics: Detailed statistics and insights about your forms.
  • Contacts: Your built-in CRM with contact profiles collected from form submissions.
  • Settings: Account, workspace, and billing configuration.

Forms List

The central area of the dashboard displays your forms. Each form card shows:

  • Form name: The title you assigned when creating the form.
  • Status: Whether the form is Published, Draft, or Closed.
  • Response count: Total number of submissions received.
  • Last updated: When the form was last modified.

Click on any form to open it in the editor, or use the three-dot menu on each card for quick actions like duplicate, share, or delete.

Recent Activity

The activity feed shows a chronological list of recent events across your workspace. This includes new form submissions, forms published, forms edited, and other important updates. It helps you stay on top of what is happening without having to check each form individually.

Analytics Summary

At the top of the dashboard, you will find key metrics at a glance:

  • Total responses: The cumulative number of submissions across all forms.
  • Responses this week: How many submissions you received in the past 7 days.
  • Active forms: The number of currently published forms.
  • Completion rate: The average percentage of people who start and finish your forms.

Quick Actions

The dashboard includes quick action buttons for your most common tasks:

  • New Form: Create a new form from scratch, a template, or with AI.
  • View Responses: Jump directly to your most recent submissions.
  • Invite Team Member: Add collaborators to your workspace.

Workspace Selector

If you belong to multiple workspaces (for example, one for your company and one for a side project), use the workspace selector in the top-left corner of the sidebar to switch between them. Each workspace has its own set of forms, responses, contacts, and settings.

You can create a new workspace from the selector dropdown by clicking Create Workspace. This is useful for separating different projects or teams.

Searching and Filtering

Use the search bar at the top of the forms list to find a specific form by name. You can also filter forms by:

  • Status: Show only published, draft, or closed forms.
  • Date created: Sort by newest or oldest first.
  • Response count: Sort by most or fewest responses.
